Cloud Adoption & AI Pre-Sales at Saudi Arabia's Leading Cloud Provider
Helping KSA enterprises actually adopt SITE Cloud, not just buy it. I work the full arc: initial discovery and RFP, solution architecture, migration and onboarding, then sovereign AI enablement and production adoption. The buyers are the Kingdom's most demanding: government entities, financial institutions, and regulated enterprises.
About SITE
SITE is Saudi Arabia's leading sovereign cloud provider, built specifically for the Kingdom's regulatory environment, data residency requirements, and Vision 2030 transformation agenda. Unlike global hyperscalers operating Saudi regions, SITE is a national platform: built in Saudi Arabia, operated in Saudi Arabia, and designed around the compliance frameworks that KSA enterprise buyers actually have to meet.
The platform spans sovereign cloud infrastructure through to a full sovereign AI stack: LLM inference, embedding models, reranking, vision, vector store, and document parsing, all hosted within Saudi borders with no data leaving the Kingdom. Backed by Tier 4 data centres in Riyadh and Jeddah, 100+ products and services, built-in NCA and SAMA alignment, and 24/7 NOC and MDR. For regulated industries, this isn't a differentiator; it's often the only viable path.
What I Do
My role sits at the intersection of technical depth, commercial delivery, and hands-on adoption. I work the full cycle, from initial customer discovery through solution architecture, compliance positioning, and proposal delivery, then into the work that makes adoption actually stick: migration, onboarding, and enablement.
- Cloud Adoption: Beyond winning the deal, I help customers land it. Guiding workload assessment, landing-zone design, migration and onboarding to SITE Cloud, and the operational enablement that turns a scoped solution into a running platform: runbooks, guardrails, and cost visibility so adoption doesn't stall after handover.
- Solution Architecture: Translate customer requirements into deployable architectures on SITE's sovereign cloud. This means understanding the customer's compliance posture, workload profile, and integration requirements, then designing solutions that are technically sound and operationally realistic. Engagements span cloud infrastructure (compute, networking, storage), managed services, and AI workloads.
- AI Services Pre-Sales & Adoption: SITE's sovereign AI platform is a significant differentiator, particularly for government, finance, and healthcare clients where data cannot leave the Kingdom. I help clients understand, scope, and adopt AI use cases: LLM inference deployments, RAG pipelines using embedding, vector store, and reranking, document intelligence workflows, and multimodal vision use cases, from initial idea through to a scoped, costed, running solution.
- RFP / RFQ Response: Own the technical response for competitive tenders: requirements analysis, solution scoping, architecture documentation, and BoQ / SoW preparation. KSA government and enterprise procurement is complex; getting the technical narrative right matters as much as the price.
- Regulatory & Compliance Positioning: A recurring theme across KSA enterprise sales is compliance: NCA, SAMA, PDPL. I help clients understand exactly how SITE's sovereign model addresses these requirements, and structure proposals to make the compliance story clear to procurement and legal stakeholders, not just technical ones.
- Customer Discovery & Technical Advisory: A large part of pre-sales is diagnosis. I spend significant time in discovery, understanding where a customer's current infrastructure sits, what's actually painful, and whether the solution being discussed will hold up in production. Customers get a more honest answer; SITE gets solutions that actually get deployed.
Cloud Services Adoption
Winning the RFP is the start, not the finish. The part of my work I care most about is whether the platform actually gets used, and used well. Cloud adoption at SITE means taking a customer from a signed solution to a running production platform that their own teams can operate.
- Workload Assessment & Landing Zones: Evaluating which workloads belong on the sovereign cloud and designing landing zones (network, IAM, guardrails) that match the customer's operating model before anything moves.
- Migration & Onboarding: Planning and sequencing migrations across compute, storage, database, backup, and disaster recovery, and getting customers through SITE Cloud's onboarding with minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.
- Cost & Efficiency (FinOps): Structuring tagging, budgets, and rightsizing so cloud spend stays visible and predictable. It's the same discipline I built from scratch at Banque Misr, applied at sovereign scale.
- Accelerated Compliance: Using SITE's built-in NCA and SAMA controls to shorten the compliance runway for regulated buyers: 60+ built-in cybersecurity controls that don't have to be engineered by the customer.
- Operations & Resilience: Aligning customers with 24/7 NOC and MDR, backup and disaster-recovery patterns, and reference architectures so production stays healthy after handover.
- Enablement: Handing teams runbooks, landing-zone patterns, and hands-on guidance so the customer's own engineers can run the platform. It's the same approach that left Banque Misr's team autonomous at handover.
AI Adoption
The most interesting adoption work right now is AI. SITE's sovereign AI platform puts enterprise-grade models inside the Kingdom's borders, which changes the conversation for regulated buyers completely. My job is making that real: scoping use cases that actually deliver value, designing the pipelines, and taking teams from proof-of-value to production.
- Use-Case Scoping: Working with customers to separate genuine AI use cases from hype (conversational assistants, document intelligence, semantic search, visual inspection) and prioritising by value, data readiness, and compliance fit.
- RAG Pipeline Design: Architecting retrieval-augmented generation on sovereign components such as embeddings, vector store, reranking, and LLM inference, so answers are grounded in the customer's own data without it ever leaving the Kingdom.
- Vision & Document Parsing: Scoping multimodal and document workflows: image understanding and extraction from PDFs and scanned records, for regulated sectors like finance, healthcare, and government.
- Proof-of-Value to Production: Structuring the path from a small pilot to a production workload: model selection, evaluation, cost, and the operational plumbing (MLOps, monitoring, retraining) that keeps it running.
- Compliance by Design: Positioning data residency and NCA/SAMA alignment as the architecture itself, not an add-on; often the deciding factor for government and financial buyers.
Platform Scope
Services I design and sell solutions across
Cloud Infrastructure
Compute, networking, storage, and managed services, hosted entirely within Saudi Arabia and aligned to NCA and SAMA requirements.
LLM Inference & Embedding
General-purpose and specialised language models plus embedding generation, fully in-Kingdom with no data crossing borders.
Reranking & Vector Store
Managed vector indexing, semantic search, and reranking: the core infrastructure for production RAG pipelines at enterprise scale.
Vision & Document Parsing
Multimodal models for image understanding and visual reasoning, plus document intelligence for unstructured content, enabling regulated AI workflows.
Accelerated Compliance
Built-in NCA, SAMA, and PDPL alignment reduces the compliance overhead for regulated buyers compared to adapting a hyperscaler deployment.
Dedicated Region
Tier 4 data centres within Saudi Arabia make data sovereignty a platform-level guarantee, not a configuration option customers have to engineer themselves.
NOC & MDR
24/7 Network Operations and Managed Detection & Response built into the platform: production support that doesn't depend on the customer building a security team.
Migration & Onboarding
Assessments, landing zones, and migration planning that turn a signed deal into workloads running in production. That's the difference between buying cloud and adopting it.
Why This Role
The KSA cloud market is at an inflection point. Vision 2030 is driving enterprise digitalisation at pace, regulators are tightening data residency requirements, and the market for sovereign AI is forming in real time. SITE is the platform built specifically for this moment, and being part of it means working on some of the most technically interesting and commercially significant cloud decisions being made in the Kingdom.
Pre-sales in this context isn't order-taking. Customers are making multi-year infrastructure decisions with regulatory and operational consequences. The value I bring is grounding those decisions in technical reality. Having operated large-scale cloud environments at Alrajhi Bank and Banque Misr means I understand what actually breaks in production, what customers are usually underestimating, and what a good solution looks like before it reaches deployment.
And adoption is where that operator's background pays off. Any consultant can design a solution on a whiteboard; the harder skill is making it stick: landing zones that fit how the customer actually works, migrations that don't disrupt operations, and AI pilots that survive contact with production. That's the difference between a cloud provider a customer buys from and one they build their business on.
